100 Voices in My Head: 212 Ruminations from a Person with Schizophrenia

D. L. Hale had a simple idea: answer as many real questions about schizophrenia as possible. Diagnosed for six years at the time of writing—and holding a B.S. in Psychology, an M.A. in Human Services Counseling, and a certificate in Domestic and Community Crisis Response—he was uniquely equipped for the challenge. He created a form with three inputs and invited others to interact as they saw fit, and around the world - the voices answered. In this book, Hale tackles treatment, stigma, rights, prejudice, ableism, and daily realities with a voice that is humorous, blunt, compassionate, and unfiltered. This book was guided by the responses, with the occasional deviation that comes from emotional content.
