Product Description Archeology XXXV is a collection of historical singles, album and EP cuts dating back to 1966. It was a one-time release to celebrating PAPA DOO RUN RUN's 35th anniversary (1965-2000). Extremely rare tracks. About the Artist Papa Doo Run Run is a California "surf" band, known primarily for their award winning re-creation of the hits of the Beach Boys (listen to their California Project CD - Telarc 1985). Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, the band has been performing continuously since 1965! In the beginning they performed at high schools and colleges theoughout California and the west, then graduated to night clubs and cabarets. In 1975 Papa struck gold with their RCA single "Be True To Your School", which opened the door to their becoming Disneyland's "Celebrity House Band" for the next 15 years (1975-90)! During THE LATTER 70s Papa Doo Run Run also toured with and backed up Jan & Dean for 5 major nationwide concert tours, and in the 80's they hooked up with Mike Love (Beach Boys) and became his opening act and back-up band working under their alter-ego "Endless Summer Beach Band". Today Papa still performs about 120 dates a year, worldwide (mostly private corporate events). Their live show is a collection of the greatest hits of the Beach Boys, party Classic Rock, and original songs.
