Instead, Buck and the boys do their best to deliver the spirit of a good old-fashioned dust-bowl Christmas, complete with Western gear ("Santa's Gonna Come in a Stage Coach") and working-class sentiment ("Santa Looked a Lot like Daddy (Daddy Looked a Lot like Him)"). There's a good deal of melancholy running through songs like "Blue Christmas Tree" and "Christmas Ain't Christmas"--after a few listens, you get the idea that Buck's holiday "dinner" will be a few beers drunk alone at the honky-tonk down the road.
